Editorial Policy

SCIATLAS is a dynamic platform committed to making science and technology more accessible to the public through engaging and simplified content. As a specialized blogging site, we focus on summarizing complex scientific research and technological advancements into clear, easy-to-understand articles. Our mission is to bridge the gap between experts and the general audience by transforming dense scientific information into concise, digestible summaries.

In doing so, we ensure proper citation of the original articles and give full credit to the journals and authors of the research. If you ever notice any instance where credit has been missed or not properly attributed, please reach out to us, and we will promptly update the content to ensure the original authors receive the recognition they deserve. (editor(at)sciatlas.com). We ensure that all images used on our platform are reproduced with the appropriate permissions obtained from the Copyright Clearance Center. This process allows us to respect intellectual property rights while providing our readers with relevant and visually engaging content.

AI and AI Tools usage

The rise of AI has sparked important discussions about its role in journalism. At SCIATLAS, we embrace technological advancements, but our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of journalistic integrity and transparency remains paramount.

This policy is designed to ensure that our use of AI aligns with our ethical responsibilities and the trust our readers place in us. It applies to all employees, contractors, and affiliates who interact with, manage, or deploy AI technologies in creating, distributing, or managing content on the SCIATLAS platform.

This policy will be regularly reviewed and updated to keep pace with new technological developments and changes in journalistic standards, ensuring that we uphold our dedication to ethical journalism and transparency.

Restrictions on AI in News Coverage

AI is not permitted to create or edit news content on SCIATLAS. News articles, reports, or any factual content must be authored and edited by human journalists to ensure accuracy, accountability, and proper editorial oversight.

Any information, data, or analysis derived from AI for research purposes must be verified by human journalists and clearly attributed in the content.

Use of AI-Generated Images

AI can be used to generate illustrative images for articles, but these images must not depict real people, real events, or any scenarios that could be mistaken for genuine news photographs.

All AI-generated images must be clearly labeled as "AI-generated," and this label must be visible and easily readable to avoid any confusion about the nature of the content.

AI-generated images will undergo a strict editorial review to ensure they meet our ethical standards and do not mislead the audience about the nature of the depicted content.

AI tools may assist in content creation tasks such as generating ideas, providing templates, translation, transcription, or suggesting grammar and spelling corrections. However, final decisions, reviews, and editorial control must always rest with human creators.

AI tools should enhance creativity and efficiency without compromising ethical standards or content integrity.

When AI tools are used to support content creation, this must be transparently disclosed to all stakeholders, and where relevant, to the audience.

Content produced with the help of AI must be fact-checked and reviewed by human editors to ensure its accuracy and reliability.

Plagiarism Checker

At SCIATLAS, maintaining the integrity of our content is of utmost importance. To uphold this commitment, we rigorously enforce a strict plagiarism-checking process for all articles before they are published. We understand that originality and credibility are the cornerstones of quality journalism and scientific reporting, and we take every measure to ensure that the content we provide is both authentic and trustworthy.

We use Plagiarism X checker software to check the similarity index.

Corrections & Updates

At SCIATLAS, we recognize that scientific knowledge evolves, and updates or corrections may be required even after the initial publication of an article. We highly value accuracy and transparency, and we encourage our readers, authors, and journals to notify us of any necessary amendments to our content.

To ensure clarity and accountability, we maintain a comprehensive change log that details any updates made to our articles. This log will include information on the nature of the error, its significance, and the corrected information. Whether the mistake is minor or substantial, we take swift action to address it and ensure the integrity of our published material.

Our commitment to transparency ensures that SCIATLAS remains a reliable and credible source for scientific news and reporting, continuously striving for the highest editorial standards.
